Superpower Mastery

Every superhero has an origin. This is mine.

Age 6

At 6 years old, my headmaster told me I was destined for prison or a drug overdose. That's a sentence that's stuck with me for over 40 years.

School was never a place I felt like I belonged. I couldn't conform to linear thinking, and I'd act up to get attention, for all the wrong reasons. That acting up built a reputation that followed me right through school, and it's what eventually got me kicked out of home at 16, with a handful of GCSEs and a brain the world hadn't yet worked out how to explain.

At 19, I left my hometown too, after coming out, and built a life for myself in London: discovering my identity, and eventually working my way back into education at 22. I graduated at 25, stumbled into a career in HR, and realised fairly quickly that I was good at it.

By 30 I had my Master's. I thought that was the destination. It wasn't. What I actually discovered was that my real strength wasn't HR generally, it was developing people, teams, and businesses. So I specialised in learning and development, and never looked back.

The version of my career you'd see on paper looks fairly linear. It wasn't. In my early thirties, not quite a decade into my career, everything fell apart at once. I made a huge career leap with no safety net, then lost my mother suddenly within days of it, all while trying to hold down a brand new job through one of the most chaotic years of my life. That same year, I also met and married my husband, so alongside the chaos it became one of the most significant years of my life for the right reasons too. I hit a wall completely at points. I had to stop, get away, and let myself fall apart before I could work out how to put myself back together.

What came out the other side of that year is the same thing this business is built on: the belief that the things about you that feel like liabilities, too intense, too organised, too much, too different, are usually just undeveloped strengths. I built my own frameworks for organisation, focus, and resilience out of sheer necessity that year, then spent the rest of my career turning them into training, coaching, and tools other people could use too.

I was formally diagnosed with ADHD in 2020, and with Autism in 2025. That second diagnosis felt like the missing piece of the puzzle, and it's what pushed me to set up Superpower Mastery. Neither diagnosis was the start of this story, they just gave language to a pattern I'd already been living, and working with, for years. This was never only about ADHD or Autism. It's about resilience: getting knocked down early and repeatedly choosing to use what makes you different as fuel, not a flaw. Whatever sector I've worked in, whatever team I've led or business I've supported, the goal has stayed the same: I support people, teams, and businesses, and leave them better for having worked with me.

I don't call them values. They're my Hero Code: the principles I use to support people, teams, and businesses, and leave them better for having worked with me.
